Throughout the Mideast, water is at a premium. All houses have tanks on the roof that become filled when the water is "turned on". Haifa, being very sunny, the roofs also have solar panels. Rosh HaNikra was the site of a tunnel between Lebanon and Israel of a railroad that went from Istambul to Cairo. What a ride that must have been! |
